You probably know of all the benefits of being active in life. The #1 reason for people to stay active is to be in good shape and feel good but this is not the reason why I am starting this project.
Today we all get robbed of our right to be active in life. Most jobs require long hours in front of a computer. Most of us spend at least a few hours a day driving. Our leisurely activities mostly include watching TV, going out to restaurants, going to the movies … None of these activities make us active (no pun intended!)
It is time to reclaim our life and to start living it actively. If you think that an active lifestyle means running marathons or working out at the gym 6 days a week then you are wrong.

Who is this retreat for?
From a Sedentary to Active Lifestyle in 1 Month is a retreat for any person who wants to be more active and healthier in life. The age and gender do not matter. (If you as a guy think that the retreat is too feminine for you then I will give you your money back. But I really think that you will enjoy it!)
We all have busy schedules and a lot of responsibilities on our shoulders that is why adding exercise into our lifestyles is a difficult thing to do. Taking care of kids, running a business, working full-time, providing for the family, pursuing your passion, taking care of the household – I am sure you can add a hundred more things to this list.
This retreat is not for everybody. If you have enough time to go to the gym 6 days a week or follow the entire P90X program then you are good on your own. Unfortunately many people do not have the luxury of a free hour every day that they can spend on exercise.

What if I already work out at the gym. Do I still need this retreat?
Most people work out 2 or 3 times a week which is a great thing to do. I myself work out 3 times a week but lately I have realized that it is not enough. It is much more important to make your entire day active by adding small bursts of activity while at work, changing the way you spend quality time with your family and the way you relax and find inspiration after a long and tiring day. And this is exactly what we will do:
We will transform our lifestyles together once and for all.
What will we do during this month?
It’s good that you’ve asked because I have a lot of great tools and activities for you. During this retreat
- We will find time in your busy schedule to make you active (I will personally help you work with your schedule);
- You will improve your general fitness level and become healthier;
- You will get weekly and daily videos of do-anywhere exercises;
- We will set active personal and group goals – there is nothing more motivating than a fun challenge;
- We will support and encourage each other. I will send you daily motivational emails and reminders;
- I will post 10-minute total-body workout videos: cardio, Pilates, strength training, Yoga and many more;
- You will learn how to improve your posture and prevent back pain;
- You will learn to find energy boosts during a long day;
- You will learn to use exercise for relaxation at the end of the day.
Will I lose weight during this retreat?
The goal of this retreat is to make you more active. Weight loss might come as an additional benefit but we will not be focusing on it. You will definitely tone up your body and if you make changes to your diet then you will be able to lose weight.
When I was trying this program out I lost 2 pounds in 1 week without even focusing on the weight loss factor. I just combined an active lifestyle with healthy eating. I will give you more details about how I did it during the program.
Anastasiya, are you qualified to lead this retreat?
I’ve been a fitness instructor for almost 9 years. I started teaching different forms of fitness when I was 16 and still lived in Ukraine (if you join the retreat you will have to get used to my accent and occasional grammar mistakes.)
In the US I got certified as a group fitness and Pilates instructor through AFAA. This summer I have started a comprehensive Pilates certification program through Power Pilates. Currently I teach all-level mat and Tower Pilates classes in a local Pilates studio.
I managed to lose my freshman 15 while still in college. I gained 40 pounds during my twin pregnancy and I managed to lose all that weight within a year after the girls were born. Both times I lost weight by exercising on my own without any gym memberships. Do I need to do something every day? How much time do I have to spend?
The idea of this retreat is to make every day of your life active (we will have 1 rest day when you can spend as much time on the coach as you want to.) The great part about it though is that you will be able to choose between dozens of activities ranging from 5 to 30 minutes. You make your schedule, I only help you find the resources and motivation that you need.
